Music Changemakers - embracing diversity

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Change is happening in the music industry. It's driven by a group of determined individuals who have faced inequality head-on, and created initiatives that create real action. This session give an overview of the variety of diversity changes that the industry is seeking, and shows what can be done through organisation and togetherness. And if the session inspires you to start making your own changes, you can learn directly from two of Germany's changemakers, who will talk about their own initiatives and the difference they made. Lina Burghausen has won awards for her work supporting female artists in the field of hip hop and urban music, and Lana Wittig, who leads "Hey Ladies!", the largest German women's music industry network and is part of EDITION F, which supports women through personal and professional development.
